September is National Attendance Awareness Month, and School District U-46 is excited to kick off the school year with our Every Minute Matters campaign, centered on this year's theme: First Day, Every Day. To celebrate Attendance Awareness Month, all U-46 schools will participate in our first annual Districtwide Grade-Level Attendance Challenge! Throughout September, each grade level's weekly attendance will be tracked to see which grade level earns the highest attendance across the district. The challenge culminates in the recognition and celebration of U-46's top-performing grade level.
Here are the results from the first week of the All-District September Grade-Level Attendance Challenge!
Congratulations to the top 3 finishers from each grade level.
Week 1: September 8th
Gold - Third Grade
Silver - First Grade, Second Grade, Fourth Grade
Bronze - Fifth Grade
Check the Attendance and Absence Management page for winners from the previous week and other attendance resources.

Our first meeting is Sept. 24th at 8:00am in room 103.
See Mr. Willock or Mrs. Gibson with any questions!

If you've played volleyball before or have wanted to be part of a team, then come on out Wednesday, 9/2 and Thursday, 9/3 from 7:00-8:30 AM (note this is BEFORE school) in the gym.
Make sure you are dressed for tryouts (athletic shoes, t shirt & shorts) and you are expected to be at BOTH DAYS of tryouts.
Pick up a volleyball packet from Coach Gibson in the PE office/gym, from Mrs. Byer in room 204, or from the main office/cafeteria area, and make sure it is completely filled out; bring it to the first day of tryouts.
A sports physical MUST be on file with the nurse in order to play/tryout. If you have any questions, reach out to one of the coaches. We are looking forward to a great season!
